Spreading Awareness About Dental Health & Hygiene – Role of Risas Dental & Braces

Health comes first, and people all across the world believe in it. Due to this, a rise in online workout classes, nutritionists, and specialized diet plans has been observed. Many organizations are actively working to spread awareness about the importance of prioritizing health over everything. Social media is bombarded with posts that highlight the importance of mental health and stability. People are trying to help each other stabilize their mental health. Many doctors press people to switch to a healthy diet to combat various health issues.

While all this is imperative for healthy living, these are not the only factors that contribute to one’s overall health. Indeed, a healthy mind and a physically fit body are two vital components of overall health; dental health is the most important aspect. As per the Mayo Clinic, “oral health serves as a window to one’s overall health.” People do not realize, but oral health plays a vital role in improving a person’s overall health, ignoring the dental aspect will cancel out all workout and healthy diet effects.

There is one dental clinic that is working effectively to spread awareness about dental health and hygiene. Risas Dental & Braces, with its headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona, is an active body that makes dental services accessible for all. By doing so, they encourage people to keep their oral health in check. Mostly the prices are the reason why many people avoid visiting a dentist, and this clinic is addressing this issue and contributing to the movement, which will help people understand how critical oral health is for maintaining top-quality overall health.

Realizing the Urgency to Spread Awareness

Risas Dental & Braces provides general dentistry services and orthodontal care. It was founded by Dr. Nicolas Porter, who was previously working in with Porter Dental. Even though he was well-known as a successful dental professional in the town, he wanted to do something for the people who do not have the money to afford a dental checkup or treatment. Moreover, he also realized that there was a lack of awareness among people.

Dr. Nicolas founded the clinic on September 3, 2011, a day before Labor Day, in Phoenix, Arizona. The clinic was established to make dental services accessible by all. Through this platform, Dr. Nicolas was hoping to achieve two things. Firstly, he wanted to make dental procedures easily accessible for all and that people could get their dental health checked without worrying about the high costs. Secondly, he wanted to contribute to the movement of making people understand the importance of maintaining oral health and hygiene.

Labor of Love Day at the Clinic

The clinic officially started taking patients on Labor Day in 2011, and on the first day, the clinic offered free dental clinic services to all patients. The good thing about this clinic is that it did not offer free dental services just to increase the customers. The purpose was clear, and it was to make people realize the importance of oral health. It was not a one-time thing as offering free services has become a tradition. Every year, the clinic celebrates Labor of Love Day, which is held from 08:00 a.m. to 12 noon, providing free services to the first hundred patients. Not only on Labor of Love Day, but Risas Clinic & Braces offers free services on the opening of every new clinic. Since its founding, the clinic has provided free dental services worth $ 5.5 million.
