On Mekahel has started filming Season 3 of his reality series, Putting On ; which can be seen on RevryTV, SamsungTV and Amazon Prime video. After getting a few details from the man himself, we now have an inside view of how the latest season is shaping up!
We sat down with On and asked him some general questions regarding the current state of affairs in the production world and how things are progressing in light of covid-19. Here is what he had to say:
Q: How is Season 3 different from Seasons 1 & 2?
A: “Oh wow there’s so many ways to answer that question. Many changes, lots of really good stuff is coming for this Season. Covid really brought new challenges for us. We kept camera crews to a bare minimum. Some
of the scenes were even shot using iPhones. This actually ended up creating deeper, more personal scenes for us which we are super happy about.
Our goal is to peel back more layers of each character and their story line, so that the audience gets a chance to connect with who they are watching. For Dave and I specifically, you will definitely see more of who we are and what we each bring to the table in our relationship and the balance that we are so blessed to achieve with one another.
COVID has also brought with it a severely limited site location list. This is another reason why it is so necessary to really bring to the forefront the narratives of each person in the show. Fortunately, we were still able film in New York City while my husband and I were apartment hunting. There was a point though during that trip, where you will see, the stress of everything mounting; including a surprise text appearance by an ex-cast member from season 1, and how that nearly threw me over the edge.
All in all, this season is full of more drama story and “drama” due to the times we are living in. I think this will definitely be a part of reality reflected throughout. But listen if I keep talking I will give away the first 3 episodes of the season! And I really want everyone to tune in and get the story first hand, I promise no one will be disappointed! But please everyone be patient for an exact release date as the ongoing developments surrounding the pandemic have prevented my network from choosing one just yet! I will keep you all posted!”
Even during this chaotic state of existence, as we all must do more with less and continue to adapt, it is evident that On is doing exactly what he has been doing, pre COVID and present – seeing the best in people, finding the good in any situation all the while allowing no one and nothing from slowing down his momentum. Expect Season 3 sometime during Summer 2021.
