Highlyte is a rapper from Long Island, New York, who recently debuted his first track of the year titled “BOOMING.” If you look online, this will appear to be the rapper’s debut release but is far from his first track. This release comes as a rebrand and so far has been doing an excellent job of showing his fans Highlyte’s new sound.
For those who don’t know, Highlyte has been making music for quite some time. He first started in 2014 when he would rap with his brothers. In a recent interview, the Long Island native said, “I started recording music at 14 years old because a close friend of mine had made a diss record about me. I took my time to respond and never looked back and perfected my craft.”
While many think this is Highlyte’s first attempt at rapping, he has been building his skills for a while. With the rapper planning to put our records consistently, his former training has prepared him for a lasting run in the industry.
