Ten years ago, only a few people were aware of the name “Fariba Rahimi”. Fast forward to today, she is an international model, the CEO of two highly successful businesses, a member of the Forbes Business Council and an influencer with over 349,000 Instagram followers! Certainly, the “jack of all trades” cliché is quite relevant in Fariba’s case, isn’t it?
But how did she make it all happen? How did she go from a struggling young woman to a celebrity in the limelight of various international magazines? We got a chance to interview Fariba about her success story. So let’s hear it from the superwoman herself, shall we?
According to Fariba, she was not born with a silver spoon in her mouth. In fact, her early twenties were quite challenging. She was working various jobs at once but with all of that experience in hand, she knew her destiny. She knew she was supposed to be a businesswoman.
Ten years ago, Fariba launched two of her businesses in Trondheim, Norway. Her company called Trøndervask was a facilities and real estate company at a time when this industry was not as saturated as it is today. After devoting years of hard work, training a professional team and networking with the most important people in the industry, Fariba’s hard work began to show.
Her company started earning in six-digits every year. Fariba hired some of the best managerial executives to run her company after its success so she could focus on her lifelong passion, modelling.
Fariba’s career hit off right after the inception, as she partnered with Versace, one of the most exquisite fashion houses of the world. She did various campaigns for the brand and appeared in many major magazine covers.
When we asked Fariba about how she achieved all of this in such a short time, how she excelled in everything she laid hands on, she gave us some of her most practiced tips to success. According to her, everyone should start dreaming from their teenage. She says that many people in their early teenage years are very ambitious and full of dreams. But as they grow up, their dreams seem to fade away and they don’t have a clear path to go on. They are clueless about what to do with their careers.
Fariba says that the reason why they stop dreaming in their teenage is because they are too swamped with their education, relationships and leisure life. Education is essential, she says. But it shouldn’t stop you from dreaming. Don’t let your dreams fade away and work every day of your life for your passion. Direct all of your education, knowledge, energy and skills to that one passion and you will definitely achieve it.
You have to stay focused right from the start. Choose an educational field that would help you achieve those dreams and then build a career around it. And no matter what the world tells you, DO NOT stop believing in yourself. Self-belief is the linchpin of everything.
Additionally, create a support group around you. This is perhaps the most important thing you will ever do for yourself. Surround yourself with people who encourage you to grow and follow your dreams. And detach yourself from people who let you down. Spend your free time listening to the successful people in your industry. You can find many podcasts and TedTalks to keep yourself motivated.
Once you have finally established your career, think of ways you can grow it. Keep growing as the industry evolves. Your career does not end when you have established your company. It has only just begun. Make a strong presence on social media. Start adapting to the changing market needs and plan for the next ten years, not just this year.
Moreover, do not limit your livelihood to just one income source. If you really want to be successful, you should have more than one income source. For instance, if you own a business, you never know when the economy would crash and your business would be in loss. So make investments in other things too. You can invest in a property, another business, stocks, bonds and other capital assets.
If you follow all of these steps, your success is guaranteed, according to Fariba. The model has been busy these days managing her companies, modelling in various advertising campaigns, interviewing for international magazines and looking forward to making an entry in Hollywood.
