Entrepreneur Yash Tuteja gives a glimpse on how he tackled the COVID-19 crisis

The impact of the coronavirus has hampered businesses across every sector. During this time, the entrepreneurs have found the right way to mobilise and stabilize their ventures. There was a gradual transition from traditional methods to digital methods taking over every vertical. Yash Tuteja, one of the affluent entrepreneurs welcomed this change and kept his business ventures growing at an unprecedented rate. He is currently managing Meenakshi Salon & Academy, located in the Bhilai, Bilaspur and Raipur regions of Chhattisgarh.

This one-of-a-kind luxury salon and spa was established in 1996 by Meenakshi Tuteja. Being the ultimate destination for all the skincare and haircare services, the salon has built its reputation as one of the most trusted names across Chhattisgarh. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the business of the salon was widely affected. With a staff of more than 200 beauticians and hairstylists across all salons, Mr. Tuteja during the lockdown made sure that a fixed and minimum salary is given to its staff.

Elaborating about tackling this phase, the entrepreneur said, “As a brand, we faced a lot of ups and downs. The roadway seemed difficult, but we had to keep going. For any emergency work, we made sure that the staff took all the necessary precautions before offering any beauty services to the clients. Proper PPE kits, face masks and fumigation services were done while we had our limited operations last year.” Even as of today, all the outlets of Meenakshi Salon & Academy are thoroughly sanitized to ensure the safety of its customers.

While the situation is being eased with the pandemic eventually coming in control, Yash Tuteja wants to take the luxury salon on a pan India level. His other venture besides this is the TutejaAcademy, located in Raipur and Bilaspur. The coaching institute which was coined in 1991 has been a pioneer in shaping up the student’s career. It has helped the candidates in preparing for the competitive and civil exams including the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC). The highly qualified teachers at the institute continue to educate the candidates via online coaching classes.

Apart from these successful business ventures, Yash Tuteja runs an NGO named Aashayien. It has been instrumental in making huge donations for various causes. As a part of the CSR activity, the NGO on behalf of the two business ventures did charitable acts by helping the underprivileged people during the COVID-19 crisis. Not only did the entrepreneur helped his staff members, but a lot of needy people were taken care of by the NGO. The charitable organisation donated oxygen concentrators, urged people to donate plasma and even encouraged everyone to get vaccinated at the earliest. Well, Mr. Yash Tuteja vision’s to serve on and off the business field makes him one of the most generous entrepreneurs in today’s time.
