When it comes to roadblocks in business, Eli Dangerfield has had many. This 21-year-old has become a millionaire from his watch brand Elmore Lewis Watches that he created as a teenager from Adelaide, Australia. This company has many 5-star reviews and is sold to 25+ countries. He also helps thousands of others become successful with another business that he created. He shares, “Yeah, so far in business one of my biggest failures or obstacles was back in late 2016 when I initially began launching my watch brand. What happened was I started targeting some of my social media ads to a certain third world country, and I was making sales, which I thought was awesome, until I started noticing I was getting lots of chargebacks, meaning these customers were using stolen credit cards. I ended up losing all my profits from these orders, plus the cost of my products, shipping, and fees, which put me thousands in debt. This totally caused a halt on my business and I had to find money from doing a videography/photography side-hustle to put back into the business to get things back on track. This was very stressful for me as I was just 18 years old, and had debt collectors harassing me for money which I didn’t have.” he also says “After that moment I had to pause my eCommerce business for a few months, but then again, that lightbulb moment struck when I thought… I surely can’t be that dumb, I need to make this work, so I went back and jumped all in.” After this major obstacle he decided that he was not going to stop until he had made this business work. Since then he has since become a self-made online millionaire at 21-years-old, all by working from his laptop and phone.
Eli strongly believes that mindset is one of the most important components of starting your own company. Without a positive attitude, you’ll be more likely to give up at the first obstacle that comes your way, which leaves behind so much potential for what it could be. Having this mindset is one of Eli’s best qualities as it keeps him determined to keep persevering. A negative mindset will stop you and your progress right in its place, potentially bringing it to a complete stop altogether. This huge loss is not worth it after all of the hard work and effort that you have had to put in to get to where you are. Problem-solve and move along to the next step. Not to mention that no one is going to want to work for or with someone who is not happy and positive. The bad energy will spread and then no one will be having a good time.
Eli is continuing to work on his two main focuses which are Elmore Lewis watches and his popular mentoring program Six Figure Brand Accelerator. He’s also been consulting with other successful eCommerce brands in the baby clothes, tech & jewelry industry to help them make a good income. Eli explains he has some other exciting opportunities on the horizon that he plans to focus on as well. He says, “In addition to what I’m already currently doing with my own eCom and info product businesses, I am working on partnering with influencers and celebrities to launch more merchandise and apparel brands so they can monetize their large audiences. So many people have followers, but no money, and that’s a problem I know how to solve well, so I’m happy to help these influencers. Some of the ones I am in talks with are almost household names.”
