Stephan Walouch is a 19-year-old from Austria currently based in Cyprus who found his success in selling stuff via the dropshipping business model.
He told us:
I’ never liked the system and I always wanted to be my own boss and work on my own projects to fulfill my dreams to live a self-determined life. The society always tells us to have good grates, go study and get a got job and work until retirement. For me the normal way was never an option and that’s the reason why I had a lot of problems while my school time and got kicked out of a lot of different schools. I never believed that the teacher in front of me can show me the way I want to life my live-in freedom, and that’s why I never listened to them and always had problems. After my school time I only had one job, and that was as an IT Technician- I worked as one for 2 1/2 years till I quit when I turned 18 years old. Qualifications, Grades and Employment history means nothing to me. In our modern world you could mostly teach yourself everything over the internet if you want to. Most of the knowledge I have to today I learnt by myself over the internet.
I made my first money online when I was 16 meanwhile working as an IT Technician – I started with building niche Instagram sites and affiliate marketing over these channels and earned my first hundred bucks over the internet.
After my first earned money in the internet I tried out a lot of different business models in the internet (Network Marketing / Affiliate Marketing / Creating a Marketing Agency) until I heard about Ecommerce – Dropshipping. When I heard about dropshipping I was fascinated about the business model itself, selling stuff you don’t own with low risk. I
In 2017 I launched my first dropshipping store after invested some money in online courses, mentoring’s and masterminds. What I’ve learnt over these time that not everyone out there is an expert and that some of the knowledge out there is outdated. I first lost some money because I didn’t know how to run an Online store but I sticked to it and finally found my success in it with a lot of try & error in the process.
When I turned 17 I found my passion and success with ecommerce – Dropshipping, I made my first 10.000$ online in a month. 2 years after this, in 2019, I came back strong with a new store and hit over $360,000k in sales in a month (30% net margin). After scaling this store, I dropped out of my work and started to work as my own boss! I started to travel and my life changed completely, from a boring 9 to 5 job to a “job” where I can work whenever and wherever I want.
I’m super excited to see where I can go from here. In this year I want to level up and create my own million-dollar brand trough out the dropshipping business model.
I got inspired into the online money-making space in general when I was a child. I never liked the system itself: go to school – get a degree – go study and get a safe job. I always wanted to be my own boss and and work for my own goals. I also played a lot of video games. When you think about it, life is very similar to a video game. And so is eCommerce. So, I like to keep the mindset of levelling up and fighting bosses
The hardest challenge I’ve faced so far had to do with me being consistent and work hard for my future self. Everyone wants to be their own boss, but they forget that being consistent is the hard part.
I personally think that every person out there can get successful if he or she has the right mindset, the right skillset and just stick to the progress.
