How Fashion Brand “GITI Online” Successfully Transitioned into E-commerce

In the world of a global pandemic, businesses have faced uncertainty in these unprecedented times. However, the one sector that is soaring is e-commerce. Selling online quickly became a preference for many. Not just for ease, but it meant people could stay in their homes and get their goods whilst staying safe.

Many have had to adapt to be successful in business during 2020 and GITI is no exception.

It’s been a long road since the birth of GITI in 2003. The brand started as a small outlet store in a mall in Florida.  Over time they have invested heavily into e-commerce and successfully capitalised on the market.

What GITI Online looks like today…

From its humble beginnings at the Oak Mall, GITI has come a long way to say the least.

Today they offer fast shipping and a reliable service. Not only this though. GITI have the competition over a barrel so to speak.

This dates back to when they first spotted a gap in the market for young fashion entrepreneurs setting up their business. The brains behind GITI realised that a lot of fashion brands didn’t get off the ground due to the lucrative minimum quantity from manufacturers.

They discovered that they had the capital and space to store higher quantities essentially making themselves the middle man. A great business move for them personally but also for the fashion industry as a whole. Many who wouldn’t usually have the funds to start now have options to get setup. It’s a win, win….

This is just the beginning…

Foresight has definitely been a skill thus far. They successfully transitioned from a small retail outlet into a reliable, affordable wholesaler.

So where do they go from here? We asked Christopher Chong, Operations manager what he thought…

How do you see the company in 10 years?

We’re looking forward to expanding our business into more international regions. Year after year our international customer base is expanding and we would like to cater some specific styles for them.”

What would you say is the main leading factors in building a successful brand?

Consistency and studying the market. Trends change all the time, it’s all about keeping up with the current market trends. Shifting from brick and mortar to almost fully online has been the biggest challenge but by far the most rewarding. Then the real recipe for success is having a strong team and I think we have the best one around.
