Happy Jewelers Carries Through on its Name’s Promise, Aiming for Total Customer Satisfaction with Each Piece of Jewelry

Nearly 50 years of experience in the jewelry industry exists across two generations of the Arik family. In the 1970s, Isa Arik operated a jewelry business in his hometown of Istanbul, Turkey, and spent his time at the local bazaar displaying his work and expanding his business. There to watch him succeed firsthand were Isa’s children Danny and Gabe. Now, halfway across the globe in Southern California, Gabe and Danny Arik are continuing the family tradition with their own business: Happy Jewelers.

“Jewelry makes people happy, and we want to make people happy,” Happy Jewelers co-founder Gabe Arik says. “So, while we know Happy Jewelers can sound corny, we love it, and our customers do too.” The Arik family relocated to California as Isa’s own jewelry business began to grow. In 2000, the Arik brothers took the knowledge they had learned from their father and opened Happy Jewelers together.

Starting small, and with little reputation in the industry, the brothers needed to work infinitely harder than their already existing competitors even to find minimal success. In order to make a name for themselves, Happy Jewelers needed to prove themselves as a viable jeweler. “We set to maintain the highest standards in the industry in business ethics, professionalism, knowledge, and customer satisfaction,” Gabe iterates.

Building a business upon superb customer service was of the utmost importance to the Arik brothers. Total customer satisfaction in every aspect of the process still remains a staple in the Happy Jewelers store. With their own manufacturing facility, the Arik brothers are able to keep an eye on their customers’ pieces throughout every step of the process.

In order to assure the implementation of these core values in their business interactions, Happy Jewelers and the Arik brothers have opted for the most autonomy as possible. In order to do so, the brothers own a manufacturing facility which allows them to oversee nearly every step of the process, from design to production to delivery. Putting premiums on timeliness and personalization, the Arik brothers have elevated the Happy Jewelers business to the top of the Southern California Jewelry industry and is making waves across the nation.
