Social media is home to everybody, anyone can come and say anything about Somone, which she feels is good and bad as well.
Expressing your opinion is not a bad thing but sometimes people say all sorts of thing without even thinking about how it might affect someone. How will the other person receive it? Some people really misuse the power of social media. This has given rise to the cyberbullying, people are criticising someone to such an extent that the other person becomes completely vulnerable. The bullying is to such an extent that people don’t shy away from making a meme of the person or creating a hate club for him. Val is glad has one of the best fans in the world. She owes her success to each one of them. But there are some people who just can’t be pleased no matter what you do. Some people take their disappointment at such a level that they start harassing people.
This can get really depressing for a person. Social media is said to be a world where you can decide what you want to be. This sort of criticism can be life-threatening. We don’t know what the other is going through in his/her life. It is possible they might be pretending to be happy while they are really depressed inside. Val believes that she may not able to please everybody so she is strong enough to take the criticism. Times likes these have made her a strong person but she says one has to be really strong during these times and should not pay any attention to online hate.
