Chris Robinson / SBcollector Talks About His Unmatchable Sneaker Collection

SB Collector has an astonishing collection of sneakers, that is undeniable. At the present, he has over 3000 pairs in his collection. His passion for sneakers started when he was just a kid and since then, he worked hard to achieve his goal. 

Chris Robinson was born on June 30th, 1992 in Red Banks, N.J. And his adventure in the sneaker community started when Chris was 14. He bought his first pair of Nike, and he decided to collect them. Well, for sure this is not very easy especially for a teenager, but Chris did not give up at that time. His beautiful collection has all sorts of sneakers. From the simplest ones to the most sophisticated and expensive, they all are very neatly arranged in a special place.

It was not easy to collect all these pairs, Chris Robinson is used to standing in lines hours in order to buy a nice pair of sneakers. In this universe, the connection with other collectors but not only is crucial. SB Collector was smart and he knew what it takes to transform your passion into business.

In 2011 he opens a sneaker store and he is proud of his achievement, as this was one of his biggest dreams in life. On his way up to success, the most important person who believed in Chris was himself. Now, he is the one creating the lines not the one staying hours for a desirable pair. His future goal is to sign his own shoe with Nike SB. Now, he works hard to bring his business at a revenue of $5m, have a personalized Rolls Royce truck.

Chris Robinson often sells designer sneakers at auctions and all the money is donated to charities and hospitals. Knowing which pair to buy and when is something crucial in the collectors’ community. Here is why – Chris bought his third pair of FLOMS (collaboration with Futura out of NYC) for 7 grand. Travis Scott bought purchased form Project Blitz in LA a wore them on his Instagram story. The hype and therefore the demand and value soon after skyrocketed and Chris sold one of his three pairs for $50 grand.

With such an impressive story behind, we asked Chris Robinson for a piece of advice for the young entrepreneur. His answer is amazing!

“Know what you want to do, and go after it. Don’t listen to the people around you who may say it will never happen. I am a prime example of hard work and perseverance. A lot of people thought I wouldn’t amount to much, and it was my goal to prove them wrong. I love what I do, and am a big believer in the old adage “Love what you do, and you will never work a day in your life.”

Even if life is not always fair, with hard work and determination dreams can be fulfilled. Chris is a brilliant example of someone who does not give up, no matter the life circumstances. Why is he different than others? Chris Robinson has an eye for art, and he considers a pair of sneakers something more than just glues and sole. Passion is the key and hard work is the way.
