From family taco nights to champagne toasts and barefoot sunsets, The Whale’s Tale has long been a celebration of life’s simplest pleasures. Now, the beloved Northport staple has officially docked in the Hamptons, bringing its signature beachside charm and crave-worthy menu to one of the country’s most iconic summer destinations.
“The Whale’s Tale has always been about joy—slow, meaningful moments that taste like summer,” says founder and restaurateur Sosh Andriano. “We’re thrilled to bring that spirit to the Hamptons—where sunset dinners, great conversation, and unforgettable flavors come together.”
Located just steps from the sand and nestled beside the marina, the Hamptons outpost features a 106-seat indoor dining room, a breezy 60-seat outdoor deck, and a beach shack that’s perfect for grabbing a craft beer or artisan ice cream on the go. Firepits, cornhole, and coastal playlists complete the vibe—casual, elevated, and unmistakably summer.
Andriano, joined by Bachelorette fan favorite Brian Autz, brings over two decades of hospitality expertise to the project. With seven restaurants under his belt and a reputation for unforgettable flavor profiles, Sosh has helped shape some of New York’s most beloved dining experiences—including playing a vital role in rolling out outdoor dining during the pandemic.
The menu? A tropical-meets-East-Coast fusion that nods to Andriano’s Hawaiian roots: think lobster rolls, fish tacos, acai bowls, oysters on ice, and of course, the return of Taco Tuesdays. Whether it’s brunch by the dunes or cocktails by the firepit, The Whale’s Tale offers an experience that’s equally laid-back and luxe.
With appearances from the Summer House cast and a growing list of culinary and media insiders, The Whale’s Tale is quickly becoming a mainstay on the East End social scene.
“It’s a place to unwind and feel at home—no matter where you’re from,” says Andriano. “Great food, great company, and the kind of view that makes you forget what time it is.”
